We made a quick stop at Perkins in Brookings before driving down to Sioux Falls, and we’re so glad we did. Kaylaa provided some of the best service we’ve had in a long time. She was welcoming, attentive, and made sure we felt comfortable right away. Even during a busy time, she never seemed rushed or distracted. She handled everything with grace and efficiency, and her friendly personality made the meal even more enjoyable. I had Rose as a waitress and let me tell ya I would go to war for her. She’s super sweet, takes great care of you, knows how to answer every question and overall does an amazing job! The environment is calm and clean. It’s a great place to sit down have some dinner and conversations.
We pulled into Perkins in Brookings pretty late after a long stretch of highway driving, and honestly, we were just hoping for a decent meal. What we got was an incredible experience thanks to Kaylaa. She welcomed us with such a bright, genuine smile that you could immediately tell she cares about her guests. She handled our table with professionalism and ease, even while managing several others. Our food came out hot and fresh, and she checked back at perfect moments to make sure everything was just right. She even made sure we had to-go drinks for the road without us asking. It’s rare to find service that feels both efficient and heartfelt. Kaylaa truly made a difference in our morning and we’ll absolutely stop here again when passing
We love Perkins and the main reason is because of the amazing service. From top to bottom, front to back they are so amazing. We especially loved the service given to us by our waitress Tiana, she was so please t, nice and helpful. She really gave us a great start to our day. Denise the manager is amazing & runs a great crew. Mike & the kitchen staff always serves us a wonderful meal. Thank you
We had the pleasure of being served by Kaylaa, and she was absolutely amazing. From the moment we sat down, she was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. She checked on us regularly, made sure our drinks were refilled, and had such a positive attitude that it truly elevated our dining experience. Kaylaa’s service was easily the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the same standard. While it tasted okay at best, the presentation was very disappointing. The dishes looked like they had simply been thrown onto the plates without any care or attention to detail. It definitely took away from the overall experience. If it weren’t for Kaylaa’s exceptional service, our visit would have been much less enjoyable. She deserves recognition for doing such a wonderful job, even though the kitchen missed the mark.
Rose has been our server a few times and knows what kind of people we are. If the restaurant is empty we do enjoy to chitchat and joke around a little. She is quite good at what she does and has definitely earned the place she’s at right now. I enjoy coming to Perkins and look forward to her being our server. Sharing my engagement with her was fun and it felt like I was telling a friend good news rather than just speaking to someone who could care less, which is exactly what I love to find in my server.
